Catawba County United Way - Who We Are
In 2020, the Catawba County United Way helped support 22 programs from 14 local non-profit agencies, impacting the lives or more than 28,000 individuals.
2021 Client Testimonial - Council on Adolescents
A key focus of the Catawba County United Way is on helping children and youth achieve their potential. One way the CCUW accomplishes this is through its support of the Council on Adolescents Lunch Buddy mentoring program for middle school and high school students. Kendall and Blake share their story.
2021 Client Testimonial - Greater Hickory Cooperative Christian Ministry
Catawba County United Way support helped 47 families with financial assistance, covering a rent or mortgage bill. A Greater Hickory CCM neighbor, Melissa, shares her story of finding a new path in life because of the assistance she received from GHCCM.

The Catawba County United Way helps support the Meals on Wheels and Seniors Morning Out programs. The mission of Catawba County DSS Senior Nutrition Services is to improve the quality of life of seniors by providing them the choice to remain at home through the provision of nutritious meals, education, socialization, health and wellness activities and community volunteer support.
2020 Virtual Tour - Partnership for Children
The Catawba County United Way helps support the Dolly Pardon Imagination Library, which provides free books for ages 0-5. Partnership for Children is dedicated to ensure that all children, ages birth through five, have the resources and the opportunities necessary for them to enter school healthy and ready to succeed.
2020 Virtual Tour - Council on Adolescents
The Catawba County United Way helps supports the Lunch Buddy mentoring and Healthy Youth programs, which provides educational programming aimed at preventing adolescent pregnancy as well as prevention of suicide and other potentially harmful risk-taking behaviors. Programs are available to parents of adolescents as well.
2019 December - Annual Christmas Bureau brings the smiles
This year 580 families were helped through the Christmas Bureau, benefiting the lives of 1,521 individual children. This included 380 teens through the Catawba County United Way Teen Christmas. This collaborative effort through the Christmas Bureau let local families in need know they were not alone during this holiday season. Thank you to all those who were part of this great event.
2019 November - United Way staff says Thank You
The Catawba County United Way staff ham it up to say thank you to all those who support the work the CCUW and its funded partners do throughout the year.
2019 October - Cross Country Invitational teaches kindness
2019 Catawba County United Way Cross Country Invitational - More than 40 teams, over 900 runners, 30+ student led community service projects and one amazing story from Dave Clark and Doug Cornfield about never letting anything hold you back from chasing your dreams. Cornfield wrote a children’s book about Dave’s story, showing the power of friendship and caring. Several schools were so moved by Clark's story they made the message of the book the center piece of their service projects.

Catawba County Youth Council on why it's important to give back
2019 Catawba County Days of Caring - a way to educate the importance of volunteering to the general public by connecting them directly to the needs of local non-profit agencies. The first stop was with volunteers from the Catawba County Youth Council washing fleet vehicles at Adult Life Programs. The agency is a day center for adults with special needs, 18 years and older, who desire or are in need of adult day services.

Another Look Back - during the recent Catawba County United Way's 75th anniversary event, former CCUW board president Joe Crocker shared his memories through a video interview of the merger between the Eastern Catawba United Way and the Greater Hickory United Way in the mid-1980s.
