A “thank you” poster created by children at Community Ridge Daycare, one of our funded partners, was presented to Publix, Lake Hickory Crossing, associates in appreciation of their support of our community at Publix Appreciation Day on 2/20/18. Having been in our community for just a year, Store Manager, Arnie Jackson and his team have already been actively engaged with us. Whether serving on the board of directors, sitting on our community investment panels, participating in our school supply drive, volunteering at our Cross Country Invitational, or through their support of our annual campaign – Publix is a strong community partner.”
Located in only seven states, Publix Super Markets, Inc. associates surpassed their 2017 goal and raised over $36.5 million for United Ways. Publix is ranked the third largest United Way donor in the WORLD! Their continued support of our communities shows that "Everything is Possible Together."

Catawba County United Way

United Way

The mission of Catawba County United Way is to

increase the organized capacity of people to

help others by mobilizing the caring power of our

 community.

The vision of Catawba County United Way is to

be the most effective and efficient organization

that identifies and prioritizes the greatest unmet

human needs in the community, focuses human

compassion, and mobilizes resources to meet

those needs.

The Catawba County United Way has brought

together people and resources to build a safety

net to help meet the needs of our friends,

neighbors, co-workers and families.

A constant reminder that when we as individuals

think outside ourselves, we have the power to

facilitate change. When we think of others’ lives

as linked to our own, our compassion grows.

When we reach out a hand to one, we influence

the condition of all. We build the strength of

our neighborhoods. We bolster the health of our

communities. And we change the lives of those

who walk by us every day.
