Finding Shelter

home

Everyone has a right to a safe and peaceful environment to call home. Unfortunately, this is not always the case for many of our neighbors.

For some, the issue is domestic violence. Others may have lost their job and struggled to find another before being evicted. Still others may suffer from an addiction that has torn their world apart and now their stranded in life between hope and despair.

The Catawba County United Way addresses these problems by partnering and supporting with the Family Guidance Center’s Domestic Violence Shelter, The Salvation Army’s Shelter of Hope, Sipe’s Orchard Home’s transitional living program for youth and Exodus Home’s transitional housing program for those recovering from addiction or recently released from prison.
